My friend Amy at Filled With Praise is hosting this fabulous weekly link up to help us stop and reflect on our week, and what we can learn (because there's always at least one little nugget of truth waiting for us!). Before you come join us in the fun, here's my high, low, and lesson learned from the week...
{High}
Getting back into a workout routine! I always feel better when I'm working out regularly, but it's so easy to push it so far down the to-do list that it usually falls off. I'm trying to keep my life balanced!
{Low}
Lots of muscle soreness from resuming work outs! I now remember muscles I forgot I had...mainly because they are screaming at me! :)
{Lesson Learned}
When you aren't using your muscles very much, they don't just jump right back to where they used to be when you need them (or want them!). This is also true of our minds!
"Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe." -1 Timothy 4:7-10
I must not let myself become complacent in my relationship with God, but constantly be in training to be more like Him! I want my spiritual muscles to be always ready for action!

I hear ya on the workout thing. I wish we had mandatory PT like the military...it would be so much easier..ha!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your lesson learned this week. I have been thinking that I need to get back into a workout routine and I love how you related it to your walk with God.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Blessings,
Amy
