counting our blessings...
After spending yesterday running all over town to complete the necessary paperwork, today is our first full day with Hudson! He's napping beside me right now. Here are some things we are already loving about our sweet little guy...
10. He has a cowlick just like mine, and sleeps in the same position I do!
9. Birds do not belong in the park where he is playing. He chased them all away persistently!
8. He LOVES machinas (cars). Most of the very long car ride back, we were serenaded with a Hudson original song about all the cars we saw!
7. He is as determined as a dog with a bone!
6. He can bite, hit, spit, and pinch with the best of them when things aren't going his way, but is SUCH a sweet boy!
5. He eats like a champ and practically attacks the spoon with his mouth!
4. He LOVES to change clothes! Show him a new outfit, and the shirt he is wearing is coming OFF!
3. When he is sleepy or nervous, he sucks his two middle fingers.
2. He knows our names are "Mama" and "Papa" but has no idea yet what those mean!

counting down!
Only 5 days until we board our last flight to our son!
I am a bundle of excitement, nerves, anticipation, and joy. It's finally happening!
We're wrapping up a million little details and last minute to-dos around here, which is why I've been so quiet. Well, quiet in blog land at least. I'm a million miles an hour in person! :)
I just wanted to say "thank you" again- you guys have been a tremendous support as we've been buckled in this crazy ride. Your words of encouragement and truth have been exactly what I needed. Your prayers have been invaluable. We are so thankful to have such an awesome group of people surround us as we become a family of three!
We know the challenges and twists and turns aren't over. That's life. We're entering a new, unfamiliar territory of parenting. We feel so blessed to be entrusted with Hudson. We are his parents forever, and whatever may come, we will do our very best to parent him as God desires of us. Please continue to pray for us, as we learn what this means for us specifically, as we prepare to join our lives together, forever!

We finished up our Hepatitis A vaccine series today! Woohoo!
