My one word for 2012 was surrender. Little did I know what was in store when God laid that one word on my heart. It was a year of truly laying down my EVERYTHING and learning to be still while I watched the Lord fight for His will, His glory, His way in me. It was a beautifully hard year, learning true surrender through trials.
As 2013 inched closer, God began to stir my heart. He was calling me to celebrate Him in ALL things by giving thanks to him. In the good things, give thanks. In the not so good, give thanks. My response is not conditional on my circumstances- I desire this year to train my first response to everything in my life to be one of thanks. He is doing a good work in me, and is faithful to complete it, whatever that may look like. So I choose to give thanks.
I truly have SO MUCH to be thankful for!
